I live 40° South which is basically the roaring forties, its windy!

My gate when not closed, would swing back an forwards in the wind, always making for a scary entry or exit in the car. I needed to keep the gate from swinging in the wind.

Solution, 3D print a gate latch.

I had printed a 22mm broom holder with the same principle and could see no reason why it would not hold a gate. There was a 40mm design available, I just had to print it.

I printed it in Fiberlogy ABS, possibly should have been ASA, time will tell. I printed it on the Craftbot FLOW IDEX at 80mm/s. It worked perfectly.

If you play it with the sound on there is a very satisfying clunk when closing.
